About this role
The Information Technology Assistant provides administrative support to the Agency Technology team on a day-to-day basis. This role is responsible for implementing and managing the use of technology for all office locations within the agency. Duties include setup, rollout, maintenance, and oversight of Home Office and agency-specific technology requirements, practices, and equipment.
Requirements
Security Administration
Ensure that agency equipment, software, and agent/staff devices meet all Barnum requirements.
Submit Field Security requests to manage staff access to systems and proxy access.
Create shared mailboxes and process email/name change requests.
Desktop Support
Proactively manage technology hardware and software to enhance understanding, satisfaction, and usage.
Operate helpdesk triage and serve as liaison between users and helpdesk via phone.
Provide technical support to agents, agency staff, and administrative assistants as needed.
Ensure encryption is current on all devices while maintaining and managing an encryption log.
Reporting & Tracking
Provide timely reports to Sales Managers, Business Managers and General Agent.
Manage firm printers (track supplies, request replenishments, map users, etc.)
Participate in staff, agency, and advanced sales meetings to provide technology and system updates.
Facilities Management
Build and maintain BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) computers and mobile devices.
Reimage computers with driver/software issues and perform “de-melting” (system recovery).
